Dallin installs Flexline Hydration System on Bike

Dallin has been riding his bike a lot lately. Though he's only 11 he's taking it pretty seriously. For right now I would rather he focus on staying in control of his bike and not having to worry about details like how to pull his water bottle from the rack, open, drink, and return it, all while shifting and dodging cars. I had the opportunity to test the Flexline Hydration system. I decided that a great test would be if Dallin could read and follow the directions and install it all by himself. I handed him the box, and within 5 minutes he had it installed and working. The diagram is apparently obvious enough, and while it might be nice to have a couple more of the little velcro retainers, it seemed stable enough with only one. He ran to change into his riding clothes and took off for a trip around the block to test it out. He got the position of the tube just right, and could lean into it and drink with ease. Competition at All American Gymnastics May 2012

Five year old Tanith was recently bumped up to the next level class, and got to participate in this competition on Saturday. She had a lot of fun, maybe a bit more than we did as proud parents watching her and cheering her performance. We were behind the glass upstairs which made pictures a bit blurry, but here they are for those who want to see. She brought home a handful of ribbons in red and white, and a really awesome medal. Video Dallin's Band Performance May 22

Dallin's band played as part of the music performance at the school art fair. I managed to record some of it and make this little compilation video. I had some fun figuring out the software, since I used a Sony camera and for some odd reason most of the free video editing software has issues with the timecode and audio sync. I don't have these issues with my Canon, Creative or JVC cameras, so I'm sure it's just some odd 24/60 Sony timecode thing. Anyway, sorry to get all technical on you.
