My eleven year old wanted to check the weather for his bike ride this morning so I stepped out to a beautiful sunrise. I ran in to get my camera and took a few nice shots of the gorgeous sunrise colors over the East Bench in Utah County.

I used the Manual setting on my camera and had good results with 1/1250 second shutter.

I love mornings. When I’m climbing a big mountain I usually start from camp in the dark of night and hope to arrive at the summit near sunrise.
